Freight Train
In development
A Polaroid social interaction project, based on reactions, play and imagination, where a subject acts out a split-second moment. The first test images of this series I shot in a village north of Tanzania while on another assignment. The brief then keeping it relevant - like a freight train, a rhinoceros is coming straight at you. For each person or group, we play out the scene twice. I keep one polaroid, they keep the other. The shots besides the people, their culture should also reflect their surroundings, something that tells us about their lives.
The project will support a tolerance and equality philosophy centred on celebrating our diversity.
For me, it’s a vehicle to interact with people randomly with no greater purpose other than to share a good laugh, our similarities and our humanity.
